Phase 1: Access and General Configuration
Locate the Service: Go to the booking service page (URL containing /booking).
Enter Settings: Click the Cogwheel icon ⚙️ in the top right corner.
Configure General Settings:
- [ ] Name the Service: Give the service a specific name (e.g., "Meeting Rooms," "Sports Facilities").
- [ ] Set Icon: Choose an icon to represent the service.
- [ ] Set Category: Choose the category where this service will appear on the Discover page.
- [ ] Pin Service (Optional): Toggle if you want this to appear on the Home page under Discover.
- [ ] Set Visibility: Decide if the service is visible to all users or a specific subset.
- [ ] Assign Roles: Grant "Service Administrator" or "Service Editor" rights to other specific users to help manage the service.
Phase 2: Create Categories
Navigate to the "Categories" tab.
- [ ] Create Groups: Set up categories to group your items together (e.g., "Conference Rooms," "Tennis Courts"). These categories must be created before you can add bookable objects.
Phase 3: Add Bookable Objects
Navigate to the "Bookable objects" tab and click Add object. For each object (e.g., "Room A," "Bicycle 1"), complete the following:
A. General Object Settings
- [ ] Select Category: Assign the object to one of the categories created in Phase 2.
- [ ] Upload Cover Image: Add an image to be shown on the booking page.
- [ ] Name & Description: Enter a clear name and description.
- [ ] Add Booking Information (Optional): Add "Important information" (Green box) or "Policy" details (Orange box/Rules).
